00Why SyncFac
Anyone can ship a screen. The difficult part arrives later: when four venues share one account, when the till is offline on the busiest night of the year, when a report has to add up to the same number twice, and when somebody has to change all of it two years from now.
SyncFac exists for that part. We design and build software products of our own, run them in production, and take the same standards into the work we do for other companies.

One connected platform for venue operations.
Twenty-four modules over one record. An event is created once, and seating, staffing, stock, the door, the invoice and the report all read from it instead of from four exports that disagree by Monday.
Door and check-in application
Guest check-in that keeps working when the signal doesn’t.
The door app for the EventSync ecosystem. It holds the guest list on the device, scans against it with no connection at all, and drains its queue in order when the signal returns.
Point of sale application
Point of sale built to keep the bar moving.
A landscape till for tablets, pulled out of EventSync so the bar deploys on its own cadence and keeps trading through a dropped connection. Every sale lands back on the same stock and the same books.
School behaviour platform
A shared picture of every school day.
Teachers record positive behaviour, concerns and homework in one place. School leaders follow the learner timeline, and families stay involved through the Prefect Guardian app on the App Store and Google Play. Built by SyncFac for South African schools.
Developer productivity SaaS
From a fleeting idea to something shipped.
Our own ticket and project manager for independent developers and small teams. Capture an idea, plan the next step and keep work moving across the web app and the mobile app, with changes saved on the device first.
Live venue games
Game night on the big screen, played on every phone.
Trivia, number bingo, caption challenges and polls for bars, pubs and venues. The questions and scores play on the venue TV, guests answer on their own phones with no app and no account, and the host runs the night from a phone, tablet or laptop.
Reserved
We add a product when we find a problem worth solving properly, not to fill a page. The next one will appear here, numbered and in production.
02What we build
We are not a front-end shop that hands off an API contract. The data model, the interface, the deployment and the thing that pages somebody at midnight are all our problem.
How we workMulti-account products where one organisation runs several businesses, each with its own data, permissions, branding and currency.
Web and mobile applications for the people doing the job, not for the demo. Built for a busy shift, a bad connection and a cheap tablet.
Devices that keep trading with no connection and reconcile without duplicating anything when the line comes back.
Sockets where they earn their place: a seat going grey as somebody else takes it, a till and a stock room agreeing within the second.
The part nobody sees and everybody feels. Data modelled once, migrations that are reversible, and reporting that refuses to invent a total.
Public APIs other people can build on, and the unglamorous work of making two systems that were never designed to meet agree on a record.

The public site for a comedy, theatre and events venue in Gqeberha. Show listings, a three-step ticket checkout with customer accounts, venue tours and corporate enquiries, wired straight into EventSync so bookings land where the venue already works.

Client platform / LineOut
An activation management platform built for LineOut, bringing campaign planning, operational workflows and reporting into one workspace. A client-owned system designed around the team running the work.
Client mobile app / Centrestage @ Baywest
A mobile companion for the audience at Centrestage @ Baywest. Guests discover shows, keep their tickets and QR codes close, find their table in the 3D venue and follow Spotlight announcements, competitions and loyalty rewards. On the App Store and Google Play for iPhone and Android, connected to the venue website and EventSync.
SFHow we build
Not a manifesto. These are the six rules our own codebases are audited against, and the reason a product we shipped years ago is still one somebody can change.
Most integration pain is the same thing existing twice. We would rather model it once and let every surface read from it than reconcile two versions of the truth on a Monday morning.
A door and a till have to work at the worst moment of the night. Offline is designed in from the data model up, with ordered queues and idempotent replay, not bolted on as a retry.
Complexity belongs in the architecture, not in the interface. If somebody needs training to check a guest in, we built it wrong.
A report that cannot show its working is a liability. Figures trace back to the records that produced them, and a total we cannot justify does not get rendered.
Our products are years old and still moving. Conventions are written down, the rules are enforced, and the codebase stays something a new pair of hands can read.
The same people who wrote it run it in production. That is the shortest possible feedback loop between a bad decision and the person who has to live with it.
SyncFac is an independent technology product company. We design, build, own and operate our own software: platforms, web and mobile applications, and the connected systems that sit behind them.
The first product came out of a working venue rather than a pitch deck. The problem was ordinary and everywhere - an enquiry in an inbox, a seating plan redrawn every show, ticket sales in one system and the bar on a till that knew nothing about any of it. Everything on offer solved one slice and handed back an export to reconcile. So we built EventSync, and then the door and the till became applications of their own.
